Infrastructure

TheInstitution established in the year 1989 has student strength of 1871. Theinstitution offers following under-graduate and post-graduate programs in thecampus: Bachelor in science, Master in science (Chemistry, Geography), Bachelorin Arts, Master in Arts (English, Political Science), Bachelor in Commerce andMaster in Commerce. To fulfill teaching learning needs all these programs arecarried out in adequate physical infrastructure as per requirements of UGC. Thephysical infrastructure of the institute includes: Classrooms,Seminar/Conference Hall, Auditorium, Computer Center, Language Laboratory,Library, Reading room, Canteen, indoor and outdoor Playgrounds and Parking areain the campus of land area 10.61 acres.

Classrooms

Thereare classrooms of varying sizes to accommodate different numbers of studentsaccording to the availability of seats in different courses. All rooms are wellspaced, airy, filled with sufficient sunlight and maintained to provide healthystudy conditions to students.

Eachroom is provided with requisite number of dual desks with sitting chairs andGreenboard/Blackboard. During past five years new classrooms are added in theinfrastructure with extension and maintenance of old building from the grant ofRs. 70,00,000 provided by RUSA. Postgraduate departments are designed such thatthe classrooms are at the close proximity to the HOD and Professors cabin tokeep continuous contact and exchange of knowledge among students and faculties.

Thecollege campus is Wi-Fi enabled to keep students well connected with the globalinformation.

Forefficient utilization of space the classes are conducted in two shifts i.e.,morning and day shifts. The Commerce and Arts classes are conducted in themorning shift whereas the Science classes in the day shift. The availablephysical infrastructure is optimally utilized after regular college hours, toconduct co-curricular activities/extra - curricular activities, parent teachermeetings, training classes, meetings, seminars, conferences etc.,. Foreffective utilization the college infrastructure is also used as examinationcentre for government recruitments examinations. The college has a practice ofcommonly sharing physical infrastructure between departments also.

Laboratories

Thereare separate labs in each teaching departments. Well-stocked and equippedlaboratory facilities are established in the institute to provide our studentsall fundamental necessities according to university’s syllabi. The facilitiesof the laboratories have been increased over the years from the time ofestablishment of various departments. All laboratory courses are taught usingwell developed infrastructure provided with wash basins and continuous watersupply. Each laboratory is also provided with safety aids and equipment tohandle accidental conditions.

Teachingaids like static models, charts, overhead projectors and modeling kits areavailable in the respective departments to make teaching learning moreeffective. For further infrastructure development and renovation of buildingRUSA has granted 2crores fund to the college in the year 2018. The institutionenhances its infrastructural facilities on regular basis to createopportunities for the students to utilize the infrastructure by updating thelabs, classrooms, equipment etc.

Experimentsare conducted in small batches of students for efficient utilization oflaboratory facilities. 

Computing Facilities:

Tocater the specialized computational needs of academic and nonacademiccommunity, sufficient computing facilities are available in the institute. Eachdepartment is provided with desktop computer and UPS. Post graduate departmentsare equipped with Desktop computers, laptop, printer, UPS, LCD projector andprojector accessories. There is language lab cum E-library in the Department ofEnglish. A computer laboratory with 50 computers and one browsing center isalso established to cater todays need for the students.
